The life and death conundrum

Everything that has a beginning truly has an end. It is scary to think that one day my body will be eaten by maggots in the dirt and there is nothing I can do to prevent that from happening, some might say cremation is the answer. Technically speaking, it is. Although, the body has to be lifeless for cremation to happen. But what does it mean when the body is lifeless? Does that mean it is the end for that person, that there is nothing after their death? "Everything that has a beginning has an end." Biologically, life is a chance occurrence; one sperm cell fuses with an egg cell that then multiplies to become a human. That is how life begins, there is nothing before then. The Christian bible says there is life after death and it is categorized into two: heaven and hell. The good will go to heaven to reach nirvana and the bad will go to hell to suffer. This sounds like a fairytale to keep the masses in control so they live morally, which is brilliant. However, it is impossible to know what happens after death because no one has ever come from back from it. The closest a person could come to death is when they get into a coma. Most people who have been in a coma seem to have the same story when they come out. It starts with life flashing before their eyes (this is their brain working hard to try to keep them alive) after that they feel no pain and they have no consciousness. In this state, they are in tranquility. But they are not dead, their mind is off. Surprisingly, when they come out of the coma; most people find life to be more depressing and they say they have never felt more peaceful that they wish they would have remained in the coma. Feeling is being alive-they were never dead so they cannot truly know what it is like to be dead. Personally, I do not believe there is life after death. If there is, where do people go when they die? Where in the galaxy is that place? In the grand scope of the galaxy, human life is useless and meaningless; it is hard to come to terms with the fact. Henceforth, there is no reason for it to continue after death, what purpose will it serve after the fact? If it is only a soul that will live in, what can a soul do? Once the body stops functioning it has reached its end.
